Abstract: Processes forecasting is one of the major questions within the area of commercial software development. This aspect is reflected in different development methodologies, maturity models like CMMI, however it still lacksany kind of universal solution. The research being conducted is focusing on the modern trends within software development processes’ multi-factor analysis. Besides that it formulates an approach for hypothesizing within software project management which should improve overall development process predictability.
